File Skimmer: Difference between revisions

File Skimmer is a file manager program for ShiftOS. It allows users to browse through, open and delete files on the hard drive. It can also be used to delete entire folders of them. File Skimmer only supports the file system [[ShiftFS]].  

File Skimmer can be launched using either the [[Terminal]] or the [[App Launcher]]. Upon being launched, the program will display the contents of C:\ShiftOS. Folders can be opened by double-clicking the mouse. Upon opening a folder, File Skimmer will display its contents in the same window. The user can go back to the previous folder by selecting "Up a Level". Some folder may contain files. Double-clicking a file will open it in the associated program, for example double-clicking a ".pic" file will load it in [[Artpad|ArtPad]]. The user can open the bottom menu by clicking the arrow at the bottom of the window to gain access to the "New Folder" and "Delete" features, with the latter only working when a file or folder is selected.
