ShiftOS started as an Arch Linux distro idea, which in it, every boot of the distro, will be a different experience. The idea is explained in the Arch Linux Forum: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1321642.<br />

Phillip, however, drew back from the idea after realising that the distro will be hard to make.<br />

He went on to making the game that we know today, using Visual Studio Express 2012.<br />

The first version, 0.0.1, was released on 11/11/13. The second version, 0.0.2, was released the following day.<br />
